Energy Evolution Teen Workshops

Empowering students to become smarter energy consumers

KUB is now offering free interactive energy education workshops that empower high school and middle school students to reduce their environmental impact by becoming more energy conscious. TVA EnergyRight® Energy Evolution Workshop covers topics like:

  • Why energy conservation matters
  • Why TVA was started
  • How electricity is generated
  • How TVA and Local Power Companies are working to reduce carbon footprints
  • Common energy-saving myths and facts
  • How to save energy at home and beyond
  • How to read a utility bill

This workshop is designed for students to discover how important their role is in energy conservation. Using real life examples such as finding out where the energy to charge our phones, fuel our cars or hot showers comes from, KUB facilitators demonstrate ways that young people can protect the planet and save their families money.
